Hi, all! Come join us this week to feast on all the extra food we have from retreat! We will spend the evening just hanging out as a fellowship to give the leaders some time to rest post-retreat planning. Feel free to drop in and take off as you need to, but we will be starting at 6pm as usual. See you there!

>> The Vision and the Verity: A Spiritual Reflections Group for Women

A group dedicated to reflecting on the presence of God in our work lives while going deeper in fellowship with a small group of women. This group meets once a month (generally on second Mondays) for about two hours each - all women are welcome, whether you are working, studying, or anywhere else along the path! First timers welcome. A simple dinner is served.

Next meeting Monday, December 10, 7 - 9 pm at 165 Johnstone Drive, Apt. 301 (UCSF Aldea Housing)
Take the Night Shuttle Westbound from Parnassus in front of the main hospital building (address 505 Parnassus, with the U-shaped driveway in front) or park on Clarendon and walk straight up Johnstone to the building past the Community Center on the left)

Scripture & Reflection Questions for December 10: The Fall.  Read Genesis 3:1-11:9.  Some questions to think about as you reflect on your work:

How do you see or experience the effects of the Fall in your work?  How do you see or experience alienation, brokenness, sin, or evil in your work?

The Fall caused alienation and destruction in our relationships with God, one another, ourselves, and the earth.

How do you see human alienation from God in your work?  How are you or others around you lost, afraid, or hiding from God?

How do you see our alienation from ourselves in your work?  How do you or people around you experience nakedness and shame?

How do you see brokenness in our relationship with creation in your field?

How do you see brokenness in interpersonal human relationships in your work?

How do you see systemic or societal brokenness in your work?

How are you or others in your field tempted to want to be like God?

>> Food Sign-Up
Being able to enjoy a meal together each week is certainly a blessing, and it's made possible through the loving generosity of your fellow Sonrisers who cook each week. If you would also like to serve your brothers and sisters in this way, please sign up here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuFz1M4H3v9-dHk0SU5kb3ZaV1RZT3IyZ3dBWHZKdlE#gid=0). It would be a real treat for us to experience your delectable creations, it's also a great opportunity for you to get to know someone while preparing a meal together!

>> CommUNITY Listserv
The listserv is live! As part of Sonrise's Vision for this year, the leaders wanted to create a separate listserv for those who are interested. It will serve as a tool to foster and develop relationships within Sonrise by actively sharing God moments, prayer requests, praise reports, encouraging words, etc. It will also be used to organize casual and impromptu get-togethers and hangouts to build community within Sonrise. With God's help, we hope this separate listserv will be a huge blessing to us and help further God's kingdom. Email Henry (hlin017@gmail.com) to be added. You can unsubscribe at any point if you would like but don't miss out!
