Volunteer for Easter Eggstravaganza!
Sonrise is joining a new church, New Community San Francisco, to serve the people of the city. By partnering with the Parks & Recreation Department of the City we are looking forward to helping create a safe and fun day for families to enjoy at Golden Gate Park. This is a great time for us to reach out to the city as a community and show Christ's love through our service.
Easter Eggstravaganza will be a fun family event with over 12,000 eggs, games, rides and barbecue. The event is on Saturday, April 23. Event volunteers will serve city employees staffing the event with simple things like refreshments (a cup of cold water…) and bathroom breaks, serve as New Community volunteers for set-up, tear-down, or other assigned roles, and help set-up and staff the New Community Booth serving families with games, give-aways, informational invites, etc. If you are interested, please sign up for a shift here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z2ICoTg58UYnyxISoRQLaRYsC9_qubp3ye5i-DbfBUw/edit#. Spring Retreat: Get ready for a weekend of fellowship, spiritual growth, and encouragement in the Sierra Foothills from Friday, April 29 until Monday, May 2 (Sunday night is optional). We will be staying at a gorgeous two-story home in Shingle Springs, CA with an amazing view, tennis court, pool, lawn, hiking, ping pong table, pool table, two kitchens, two living rooms, and more! Cost is $65 and includes meals, lodging, transportation, and activities. And invite seekers, friends, and classmates! (First-timers get 50% discount!)
